Yes. For weddings over 70 guests, we offer a complimentary in-person tasting. We sit down together, work through your menu options, and make sure everything is exactly right before you sign off. It’s a chance to meet the team and fine-tune every detail before your day.
Yes. We offer full vegan menus for weddings: Vegan Canapé package $69pp (3 hours unlimited, min 40 guests), Vegan Buffet $75pp (min 50 guests), Vegan Seated Meals from $90pp (2-course) to $140pp (4-course). All standard packages include at least one vegetarian option per category. Gluten free, halal, dairy free and kosher friendly options are available across all menus.
We collect all dietary information ahead of the event and plan the menu around it. On the day, our team manages every requirement without the couple needing to think about it. Every dish is clearly labelled. For guests with severe anaphylactic conditions, we recommend a direct conversation before confirming the booking.
Yes. We bring all equipment and set up a dedicated kitchen space on-site. Your venue doesn’t need an existing commercial kitchen. We’ve catered at wineries, private gardens, rooftops, private properties, barns and beaches across Melbourne and regional Victoria. All we need is a suitable area to work from.
Absolutely, and most Melbourne couples do. A grazing table during arrival cocktail hour followed by feast shared platters is very popular. A Welcome Canapés pack during drinks ($21pp, add-on only) followed by a plated dinner is another great combination. We’ll help you work out what makes sense for your numbers, venue layout and budget.
Yes. When HLB is handling your full catering service, we are happy to cut your wedding cake and serve it on boards for your guests at no extra cost.
Bespoke menu planning, freshly prepared food, professional waitstaff and chef throughout, full setup and food styling, dietary management on the day, run sheet coordination with your other vendors, wedding cake cutting, and complete pack-down and cleanup. We arrive early, set up everything, and leave the venue as we found it.
Minimums vary by package. Canapé packages and grazing tables require a minimum of 40 guests. Buffet requires 50 guests. Feast Shared Platters and Seated Meals require 60 guests. For smaller groups of 30 to 49 guests, a modified buffet setup is available without staff service. Get in touch to discuss your specific numbers and we’ll find the right fit.
Yes. Children up to 5 years: main only (crumbed fish or chicken, chips, tomato sauce) $40pp, or main and dessert $50pp. Children aged 6 to 8 can order from the kids or adult menu. Custom children’s menus are available on request.
The earlier the better, especially for peak season dates from October through March. That said, we always try to accommodate shorter timeframes. Get in touch and we’ll confirm availability for your date quickly. A 50% deposit is required to secure the date. Instalment plans are available for bookings of $6,000 or more.
