A couple of things worth knowing:

A minimum of 60 paying guests is required for our full plated meal packages with alternate drop service. Alternate drop means you choose two dishes per course, your guests are served alternating plates across the table, no pre-orders needed, and it looks great. Vegetarian and vegan variations are available on request across all packages.

Planning an event with 30 to 59 guests? Get in touch with us. Subject to availability, we may be able to accommodate smaller groups with one choice per course rather than alternate drop, with vegetarian and vegan variations included. Additional fees may apply for smaller events.

Work with our executive chef to finalise your two selections per course and discuss dietary requirements. Our chefs are happy to guide you through the best combinations for your guest mix.

Venue Coordination

We liaise with your venue on kitchen access, timing and bump-in requirements. You don’t need to be the go-between.

Final Details Confirmation

Plated Meal Catering Questions Answered

How much does plated meal catering cost in Melbourne? +

Packages start at $85pp for a 2-course, $110pp for a 3-course and $125pp for a 4-course including canapes. Pricing covers professional wait staff, a shared garden salad per table and dinner rolls. Minimum 60 guests applies.

What is alternate drop service? +

You choose two options per course and wait staff serve them alternately across the table, no pre-orders needed. If both chosen dishes are meat-based, we prepare a vegetarian or vegan variation for guests who need it, up to around 5% of your guest count.

What’s the difference between a 2-course, 3-course and 4-course package? +

The 2-course ($85pp) covers entree and main, or main and dessert. The 3-course ($110pp) is the most popular and includes all three. The 4-course ($125pp) adds chef’s choice canapes on arrival, which works especially well for weddings where you need time for photos before dinner starts.

What’s included in your seated meal packages? +

Every package includes your chosen courses, professional wait staff, a shared garden salad per table and freshly baked dinner rolls and butter. The 4-course also includes chef’s choice canapes on arrival. We also provide an event coordinator and, for larger events, dedicated event managers.

What’s the minimum guest count for plated meals? +

Our plated meal packages require a minimum of 60 paying guests. For events from 30 guests, get in touch. We may be able to accommodate smaller groups with a simplified format and one dish per course rather than alternate drop. Additional fees may apply.

Do you handle dietary requirements with plated meals? +

Yes, completely. We manage dietary meals per guest including gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, nut allergies and other requirements. Provide the dietary breakdown by your final confirmation date (two weeks out) and our kitchen handles the rest, discreetly and without fuss.

How long does a 3-course plated meal take to serve? +

Plan for around 2 to 2.5 hours of dining time for a 3-course meal. We work to your event timeline, aiming for 50 to 60 minutes between courses, and coordinate with your MC or venue coordinator throughout.

How many wait staff will you provide? +

We staff every event at the right ratio so table one and table fifteen get their meals within minutes of each other, not 45 minutes apart. We include an event coordinator for every event, and dedicated event managers for larger guest counts.

Do you tip caterers for plated service in Australia? +

Tipping isn’t expected in Australia, but it’s always appreciated if your team has done a great job. Our pricing is all-inclusive with no hidden service charges or gratuity fees added to your quote.

Can we customise the menu selections? +

Yes. You choose two dishes per course from our curated menu. For larger events we can also discuss seasonal specials or custom menu options with our executive chef. Get in touch to explore what’s possible for your event.
